Electromagnetic Compatibility is the ability of an equipment or system to function satisfactorily in its intended environment without introducing unacceptable electromagnetic interference (emission and immunity), possibly affecting the operation of other equipment in that environment.

Within the framework of the European EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and the RED directive (2014/53/EU) for radio equipment it is required for each product, for which these directives are applicable, that the essential EMC requirements are met, before this product can be put on the market. CE marking of a product indicates conformity with all relevant directives, among which the essential EMC requirements for electrotechnical products.

Laboratoria De Nayer offers the necessary facilities to perform an EMC assessment, according to harmonized standards. In addition, there is a wide range of equipment and setups available to cover military, automotive and space requirements, for which most of the time more stringent requirements are applicable. Given its ISO 17025 accreditation (T041) and FCC recognition (USA), our test results and reports are internationally recognized.

If problems appear during an assessment our experienced staff is willing to look for a solution together with you. When further research is needed, consultancy can be offered for legal as well as technical aspects.
